Growing Up with Two Languages, written by Una Cunningham-Andersson and Staffian Andersson provides us a practical guide for parents. As an Ireland-Swedish couple, authors demonstrate how to tackle language acquisition problems in daily life. Besides that, they also collect 150 cases that parents raise their children with two languages.

There are several interesting points. First, parents need to make a decision which language their partner should stick to before the baby is born. Second, parents may be embarrassed when they talk to children in the street. Third, it would be a challenge to have deep conversation with children in parent's L2 especially when children affection is attached to the language.

絲綢之路考古十五講
